LB Jaylon Smith Finds a New Home
After the Dallas Cowboys cut linebacker Jaylon Smith, everyone knew it wouldn't be long before he found a new home. Smith has signed a deal with the Green Bay Packers after his head-scratching release.
The deal will be official come Thursday morning after Dallas decided they were moving in a different direction, even with $7.2 million still owed to Smith. There was a ton of trade chatter around the league regarding Smith's services, but nothing materialized from the talks.
At only 26 years old and two seasons removed from a Pro Bowl, there's no doubt Smith has plenty left in the tank and will shine for the Packers. It was just a matter of playing time in Big D, and the Pack plan on giving Smith every snap he can manage.
The Packers defense has been solid this season but they are in desperate need for some help at the linebacker position. Let's see what Smith can bring to Lambeau Field.
