Pittsburgh Steelers Dealt Bad News Ahead of Matchup with Detroit Lions

The Pittsburgh Steelers are moving on this week without their starting quarterback as Ben Roethlisberger has found himself on the COVID-19 reserve list. He will not be suited up when the Steelers take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

The Steelers are going with Mason Rudolph as their starter and Dwayne Haskins will dress as the backup. As for Big Ben the veteran QB has completed 65.6% of his passes this season while tossing 10 TD's and four picks in the process.

It will be a great site for Steelers fans to see Rudolph play. He's only attempted one pass this season and still has the potential to be the QB of the future for the franchise. He's 5-4 as a starter and looks to send a message with his play on Sunday.

Roethlisberger is fully vaccinated and he can return to the team facility after two negatives tests consecutively. Look for him to return to action next week, in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football. For now, it's Rudolph time in the Steel city.
