NFL Rumors: Deshaun Watson Getting Close to Joining New Team

With the latest NFL season in the rear view mirror, quarterback Deshaun Watson can now shift his focus to finding a new team. Watson holds a no-trade clause and has begun to contact teams to survey their interest level in his services.

The Houston Texans quarterback has a long list of attributes he wants out of his new team and it's apparently quite the extensive list that includes offensive system, coaching staff and chances of winning a Super Bowl.

Two teams who are believed to be in the mix include the Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The Buccaneers make some sense considering Tom Brady has now retired but talk about some bad optics as Watson has a long list of legal troubles off the field and would be an interesting replacement for a legend like Brady for the Bucs.

Watson is still facing lawsuits from 22 women who say he sexually assaulted them or committed sexual misconduct during massage sessions. There's another 10 women who have filed criminal complaints and he's still being investigated by the NFL over these matters.

Expect to see Watson's decision come sooner than later as the Texans and the player would like to move on and focus on a fresh start for next season.
