NFL Rumors: Chicago Bears Trading Quarterback

The Chicago Bears busy offseason continues as the team has reportedly been discussing trades with several teams. Talks have been centered around quarterback Nick Foles as the Bears are open to moving the veteran this offseason.

Chicago signed Trevor Siemian to a two-year deal on Friday and that's basically put the writing on the wall for Foles' time in the windy city. The Bears have Justin Fields as their starter and QB of the future so they mid as well maximize their return on Foles who could start for some teams.

The Bears quarterback is in the final season of his contract which pays him a $4 million roster bonus, $1 million in guaranteed money, and a $10.6 million cap hit for 2022. No wonder they are trying to move on from Foles after acquiring him from the Jacksonville Jaguars a couple of years ago for a fourth-round pick.

In his two-season tenure with the Bears, Foles recorded 2,102 yards, 11 TD's and eight interceptions. He's likely to fetch a mid-round draft pick from any interested team as the offers start trickling in. Look for a trade to go down sometime in the next week-to-10 days.
