NFL Rumors: Jarvis Landry Sets Asking Price
According to Mike Florio, free-agent wide receiver Jarvis Landry is seeking $20 million per season on his next contract.
Landry is coming off of a bit of a down year with the Cleveland Browns, as he had two touchdowns, 52 receptions, and 570 yards in 12 contests. Although he was released by the franchise, there have also been rumblings that a reunion could occur. This is because the team was the winners of the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes and are now pushing to be contenders in 2022.
Yet, with Landry's very strong resume, it is likely that plenty of other teams will pursue the 29-year-old from here. In 123 career games between the Miami Dolphins and Browns, he has 37 touchdowns, 688 receptions, and 7,598 yards. With that, he is also has been named to five Pro Bowls.
Although he has been excellent throughout his career, there also could be hesitancy from some teams when looking at his $20 million asking price. Time will tell on that front, but this is surely an intriguing development.
