Packers To Tag Star Wide Receiver

After successfully signing Aaron Rodgers to an extension, the Green Bay Packers are now set to franchise tag Davante Adams.

Adams was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent, and there was some concern about his future with the team due to all the rumors regarding Rodgers. Yet, now that they have crossed this major item off their to-do list, they can do the same with Adams.

Adams is a player who Green Bay absolutely needed to keep around, and they have successfully done that with this move. In 16 games this past season, he had 11 touchdowns, 123 receptions, and 1,553 total yards. With this kind of excellent campaign, he understandably became a two-time First All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler. Now, he will continue to have a superstar quarterback to work with in Rodgers.

Overall, it's been a good day to be a Packers fan. They should once again be a major threat in the NFL this upcoming season.
