Seattle Seahawks Baffled By Russell Wilson's Comments

It appears we have some drama in paradise as the Seattle Seahawks begin the post-Russell Wilson era. After a mega-trade which sent the veteran quarterback to the Denver Broncos, some details came out regarding what really transpired in Seattle.

Seahawks owner Jody Allen didn't shy away from details when discussing Wilson's antics and Allen made one thing clear, Wilson didn't want to be here:

While Russell made it clear he wanted this change, he made Seattle proud and we are grateful for his decade of leadership on and off the field

The nine-time Pro-Bowler spent a decade with the franchise, winning one Super Bowl. Wilson was shipped to the Broncos for quarterback Drew Lock, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, tight end Noah Fant, two first-round picks, and a pair of second-round picks and a fifth-rounder. MASSIVE haul by Seattle, and general manager John Schneider had this to say about how things went down:

When it became evident that Russell was interested in playing elsewhere, we used that opportunity to explore the market, allowing us to acquire three quality players, tremendous draft capital, and create salary-cap flexibility. We have a clear vision about the direction of this team, and this is an exciting time for our organization.

Certainly some interesting quotes from the Seahawks brass. It's getting awkward as during Wilson's introductory press conference at Mile High, he went on to say the break up was mutual. Guess we'll never know.
