NFL Rumors: Patriots Pursuing Star Wide Receiver

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the New England Patriots have expressed interest in Odell Beckham Jr. With that, he also noted that the star wide receiver is very open to the idea of playing for Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

This isn't the first time where New England has pursued Beckham Jr. Thus, it isn't all that surprising that they are considering the idea of signing him at this juncture. Although they just acquired DeVante Parker from the Miami Dolphins, it's still a position where they could use some serious upgrades.

Beckham Jr. is coming off an excellent run with the Los Angeles Rams. After joining them in the middle of the 2021 season, he had five touchdowns and 27 receptions in eight games. With that, he also recorded two touchdowns in four contests during the playoffs. The veteran has certainly found his old form, so he would be a great addition for the Patriots - at least in theory.

Yet, if the Patriots do successfully sign Beckham Jr, they will have to be okay with the fact that he is expected to miss time due to a torn ACL. Yet, even if they have to wait for him to hit the field, he would 100% be worth the investment. Let's see if they end up winning the sweepstakes.
