Bengals Head Coach Gives Injury Updates on 3 Pivotal Players

The Cincinnati Bengals have been nursing some injuries this off-season. Wide reciever Tee Higgins tweaked his shoulder during the playoffs and needed his labrum repaired shortly after the year ended.

Linebacker Logan Wilson had a similar issue, except we learned after the season that he played through his injury throughout the entire playoffs. Wilson sustained the injury right near the season's end. He played in every playoff game until announcing after the SuperBowl that he would undergo corrective surgery.

Lastly, the Bengals' promising defensive end Joseph Ossai looks to be healthy for the start of the 2022 season. Ossai is yet to play his first game for the Bengals as he suffered a season-ending injury during the 2021 preseason.

Now, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has given updates on all three injuries. When asked if the players would be ready to go for day-one of training camp, Taylor gave a pretty straightforward answer. Here are his exact words according to CLNS’ Media’s Mike Petraglia.

“Yeah, I think that’s the timeline we’re expecting,” Taylor said. “You don’t want to make a prediction on May 24 but I think there’s a possibility that works out for them.”

Regardless of whether they're 100% for training camp's first day, the Bengals are eyeing all three to be healthy by at least the beginning of September. We've already seen how effective Higgins and Wilson are, but a fully-healthy Ossai could be a revelation.
