NFL Rumors: 2 Teams Linked To Melvin Ingram
The Kansas Chiefs placed a UFA tag on Melvin Ingram earlier this week. They are still reportedly interested in continuing their relationship with the veteran linebacker. They have some competition, however, as the Miami Dolphins are in on the sweepstakes, too.
Ingram spent the 2021 season split between the Steelers and Chiefs. In 15 games on the year, the 33-year-old linebacker recorded 25 combined tackles and 2.0 sacks. Although he wasn't as dominant as in his Pro Bowl days, he can still be an effective part of an NFL team's defense.
Ingram's vast experience also makes him an alluring option. In 128 career games between the Chargers, Steelers, and Chiefs, he has 385 combined tackles, 51.0 sacks, and three interceptions. It will be intriguing to see where he ends up from here.
