Legendary Tight End Announces Retirement

Rob Gronkowski is hanging up the cleats...again

For the second time in his career Gronkowski has announced his retirement, he revealed Tuesday via an Instagram post.

The five-time Pro Bowler, and Super Bowl Champion, ranks fifth among tight ends all time in receiving yards (9,286) and third in touchdowns (92). He is also second all time in playoff touchdown receptions, only behind Jerry Rice.

I'm not sure if it would surprise anyone if Gronkowski decides to come out of retirement yet again to play with long-time teammate, and best friend, Tom Brady. Gronkowski's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN's Adam Schefter he would not be surprised to see the star tight end make yet another return.

For now, however, Rob Gronkowski is no longer playing in the NFL. What a legendary 11 seasons from the thirty-three year old.

Happy retirement "Gronk"!
