Packers QB Has Glowing Praise For His Backup

A lot was made of the Green Bay Packers decision to trade up and draft QB Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and while they've now got Aaron Rodgers for a few more years, there seemed to be plenty of drama in the Packers QB room. The hostility makes sense, as Rodgers has been looking for wide receiver help for years beyond Davante Adams, and it was available when Love was selected, but now, in 2022, it seems that Rodgers has nothing but love for Love, and the rest of the QB room in Green Bay.

Love may not have dominated in the pre-season finale against the Chiefs, but right now, Rodgers' confidence in him is sky high, as he said after the game “I think he’s definitely become a master of the offense,” and it seems that if the back-to-back MVP were to miss any time, this team could function well enough without him to win some games.

Jordan Love may not be playing well enough to take the starting job away from Aaron Rodgers, but if he has become a master of the offence, it helps the Packers team if the worst were to ever happen, and that's really all a team can hope for out of a backup QB. So while this may not put an end to the potential drama in the QB room, it certainly is a refreshing thing to hear from Rodgers, as Love seems to be learning this offence well enough to one day take over at QB, or at least become a serviceable backup should anything happen.
