Packers Receiver Compares Current QB To His Former Ones

Sammy Watkins is a veteran wide receiver in the NFL, who's played with a fair few Quarterbacks over the time he's spent in the league, including Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes over the past 4 seasons. According to Watkins though, neither of those even come close to his current Quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, saying that 'I've never seen them carry themselves like Aaron Rodgers'. 

This isn't to take a shot at any of his former QB's however, because when he was asked to compare them by fellow wideout Randall Cobb, he responded with: "Pat is incredibly good, but A-Rod is on a whole 'other level". Only time will tell how good their connection could be, and after losing his top two targets from a year ago (one to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Marquez Valdez-Scantling), Rodgers will need to be as good as advertised if the Packers want to be a genuine threat in the NFC. 

Asked later to confirm his sentiment about No. 12, Watkins went into further detail about what makes Rodgers so great, "He's amazing. How he controls the ball," Watkins said of Rodgers. "How he puts everyone in place. I've been with a lot of quarterbacks, and I've never seen them carry themselves like Aaron Rodgers."

The two are regarded as the best QB's in the league, so there certainly isn't much difference in their production, but in terms of getting the best out of lesser weapons, it's clear that Rodgers at this point in time, certainly has an edge over the competition.
