Panthers Announce Starting QB

The Carolina Panthers have announced that Baker Mayfield will start in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns.

Mayfield has officially beat out Sam Darnold to be the starting QB in Carolina, merely two months after joining the team. 

His first game will be against, none other than his former team, the Browns. It should be an emotionally charged and fun game to watch in Week 1.

The Browns will be paying Mayfield $10.5 million to play for a different team this season. 

Mayfield beating Sam Darnold to the starting QB role is not a surprise at all around the league, as there had been murmurings for weeks now that he was going to win the job.
