San Francisco 49ers Cornerback Placed On PUP List

The San Francisco 49ers have placed Jason Verrett on the PUP list. With this, he is ruled out for the 49ers' first four games this season at least.

Verrett is recovering from a torn ACL and has not had any setbacks. However, the 49ers are going to play things safely with him and ensure that he is 100% healthy before having him see regular-season action.

In 40 career games, over seven seasons, Verrett has recorded 145 combined tackles and seven interceptions.
