San Francisco 49ers Release Cornerback

The San Francisco 49ers have released Darqueze Dennard from their roster.

Dennard was hoping to cement himself a notable role with the 49ers this season, but now that is not coming to fruition given this development. Instead, he will now be aiming to find himself a new home before the start of the year.

Dennard comes with a good amount of experience, so that could help his chances of getting signed before September rolls around. In 87 career games over eight NFL seasons, he has 313 combined tackles to go along with four interceptions and 3.0 sacks.
