Titans and Panthers Make A Deal For Offensive Lineman

The Tennessee Titans are a team that exceeded all expectations in 2021, despite the loss of Derrick Henry for a major part of the year, but to back it up in 2022, they'll need to be even better, and to get Henry going, this offensive line needs to be at its best. The starting five look rock solid, but beyond that, there was a genuine need for depth, a need that was met yesterday, as the team made a deal with the Carolina Panthers to bring in Dennis Daley, a 26-year old who has appeared in 32 games and started 21 in his young NFL career.

The deal wasn't a huge one, and won't make waves around NFL headlines, but it's a solid move that provides the Titans with offensive line depth, as Daley is now pencilled in as Tennessee's backup right guard. This is the time of year where savvy moves like this can pay off big time down the line, and although flashy moves to bring in skill position players always generates headlines and adds firepower to a team, depth in the trenches is something that can always be improved, and Tennessee did well with this move.
