49ers Tight End Not Expected To Play On Sunday

The San Francisco 49ers have had a great off-season, and are moving forward with young Quarterback Trey Lance as the starter of this team, and after re-signing Deebo Samuel, the team is full of weapons for a young QB to thrive. Unfortunately for Lance, one of the teams biggest stars in George Kittle has been questionable to play in Week 1 all week long, and today, Adam Schefter confirmed rumours that he is expected to be unavailable for the clash with the Chicago Bears.

The 49ers are certainly considered a Super Bowl contender in the NFC, and if Lance can step up and start fulfilling the lofty expectations that San Francisco have placed on his shoulders, there's no doubt that they'll keep up with the defending Champion Rams the entire 2022 campaign. Kittle is a big loss, but the 49ers have the talent to take down the Bears without him, and if Kittle gets healthy, he will be the best weapon for a dual-threat QB like Lance all season long.

This is ultimately the best move, as Super Bowl runs often come down to health and luck, and if the 49ers are healthy at the end of the year, they may reach their second Super Bowl in the last few seasons, with aims of upstaging their division rival.
