Cleveland Browns Place Two Players On Injured Reserve

Immediately after their shocking loss to the New York Jets, where the Browns held a 13-point lead with under 2 minutes to go in the game, the Browns announced that three players, Jadaveon Clowney, Chase Winovich and Jesse James would all be out for the blockbuster divisional clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football. Clowney suffered an ankle injury during the game, but will be good to go the following week, unfortunately, the same can't be said for the other two.

Today, the Browns have placed Winovich and James on Injured Reserve, meaning that they'll both miss at least four weeks of action, and given how key the next stretch of games will be for the Browns season and for the AFC North division race, this is a tough one for the team.

Neither man is a star or a starter on this team, but depth is key, and with Clowney out, missing Winovich is going to test the teams depth around star Myles Garrett up front, and could cost them games against the talented offence's of Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Los Angeles and New England. Ultimately, it may not mean too much, but if the Browns continue to lose players due to injury, their depth will be tested, so as of right now, Cleveland are hoping for a clean bill of health going forward.
