Detroit Lions Star Wide Receiver To Miss Week 4

The Detroit Lions will be without one of the league's most promising young stars in Week 4. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been declared out for Sunday's matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
St. Brown suffered an ankle injury during the team's Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The wide receiver had been off to a blistering start to the 2022 regular season, tallying a team-high 321 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns for the league's second-ranked scoring offense through three weeks. In his absence, the Lions will be obligated to feed targets to T.J. Hockenson, Josh Reynolds, and DJ Chark.

St. Brown joined the Lions as their 112th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and quickly exceeded expectations. The wide receiver led the Lions with 912 receiving yards as a rookie last season and flashed a tantalizing all-around game as a runner and catcher in the early portion of this year, even going so far as to lead the Lions in rushing in their Week 2 win over the Washington Commanders. Hopefully, with games against the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys in the coming weeks, he'll return to the lineup sooner than later.
