Injury Update: Lions Running Back to Miss Time

Well, this isn't the news Detroit Lions fans wanted to hear.

The Lions' head coach, Dan Campbell, spoke Monday regarding D'Andre Swift and his injury, suggesting that the talented running back could be held out through the team's Week 6 bye.
More specifically, Dan Campbell said that Swift could benefit by taking the next two weeks off to help his shoulder heal, then return to play on October 23 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Although there's no official decision yet, it definitely sounds like Swift is going to be missing some time one way or another.

There should be more information regarding Swift's availability status for Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks as the week progresses.

The twenty-three-year-old has 231 rushing yards with one rushing touchdown over the first three games of the regular season. In addition, he's hauled in eight of 12 targets for 77 receiving yards and a touchdown thus far.

Should Swift miss any time, fellow running back Jamaal Williams will assume the lead back role in his absence.
