Seahawks Safety Limps Off In First Half Against Broncos

The Seattle Seahawks are hosting the Denver Broncos in an electric Monday Night Football game atmosphere, but the typically deafening Seattle faithful were quieted for a moment when their star safety hobbled off the field. Jamal Adams left during the second quarter in visible pain, was carted to the locker room, and quickly declared 'Doubtful' to return.

Adams hurt his knee chasing down Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson in the backfield to force a third-down incompletion. The Seahawks immediately paid the price on the next drive when Bronco wide receiver Jerry Jeudy torched the defense for a 67-yard touchdown pass. Adams is the Seahawks' highest-paid player on the defensive side of the ball at a massive $17.5 million per year.

Besides the injury, the Seahawks played an exhilarating half of football, and are presently leading the Broncos 17-13. Quarterback Geno Smith is impressing with 17 completions on 18 pass attempts for 164 yards and two touchdowns, but former Seahawk Russell Wilson is hanging tough with an amazing 196 net passing yards on 17 dropbacks and gets the ball to open the half.
