Jets Announce Starting QB For Week 4

Despite picking up a win early in the season, the New York Jets have struggled in 2022, but now, it appears things could be on the verge of turning around as they head to Pittsburgh for a Week 4 matchup with the Steelers, as today, head coach Robert Saleh announced that Zach Wilson, the No. 2 overall pick back in 2021 will make his season debut.

The Jets have been competitive against the other three AFC North teams so far in 2022 with Joe Flacco at Quarterback, but now the athletic, strong armed Wilson is back, and in theory, it should open up the playbook a huge amount for Mike LaFleur and this offence. All off-season long, we heard about the connection that Wilson had with Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, Tyler Conklin and all the weapons on this offence, and if he wants to prove that he's the QB of the future for the Jets, he'll have to hit the ground running.

Wilson's rookie year was a major struggle, but he showed great improvement throughout the season, and after several big plays, it's clear that he has the talent to make it in the NFL, but now he needs to prove that he can lead a team to some wins. If the Jets can get a win in Pittsburgh, they'll be back to 2-2, and for a Jets team that has struggled for a decade, that would be a great start, and would only help the confidence of this team as they look to fight for a Wild Card spot in 2022.
