Las Vegas Raiders Work Out A Pair Of Veteran Linebackers

The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to be a very good team in 2022, mainly due to the offence that will be untouchable at points, led by Derek Carr, Davante Adams, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow, and it's the defensive side of the ball that is certainly their weak point this season. It's because of this that the Raiders recently worked out a few veteran linebackers in Alec Ogletree and Reggie Ragland.

Ogletree, a veteran of 8 years last played for the Bears back in 2021, and while he's not the player he once was for LA or the Giants, but he can still get it done and be a leader for a linebacker group that needs some help. Ragland on the other hand hasn't had as impressive a career, but has been solid, and if he can find a new, consistent home, there's no reason why he can't again contribute to a Super Bowl winner, like he did with the Chiefs in 2019.

Only time will tell if the Raiders choose to bring the two veterans or one into the fold before the regular season begins, but for a team with very high aspirations in 2022, it makes sense to be looking for veteran help at almost every defensive position.
