Los Angeles Chargers Lose Multiple Stars Against Jacksonville Jaguars

The Los Angeles Chargers may have received some good news about their starting quarterback Justin Herbert earlier this afternoon, but it has been all bad news since. Defensive end Joey Bosa left the team's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars early, and left tackle Rashawn Slater departed in the second half and headed directly towards the locker room.
Bosa has already been declared out for the remainder of the game with a groin injury, and Slater appeared in significant discomfort as he left the field, clutching his arm against his abdomen. They join fellow Pro Bowlers Keenan Allen, Corey Linsley, and J.C. Jackson as players currently unavailable for the Chargers. Incidentally, the Jaguars took a 30-10 lead late in the third quarter.

Bosa joined the Chargers as their third overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He has compiled 59.5 sacks while notching four Pro Bowls for the team. Slater was the team's 13th overall pick in 2021 and made the Pro Bowl as a rookie. Should both players miss significant time, the Chargers could find themselves fighting to stay afloat in a highly competitive AFC. They face the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, and Denver Broncos in the coming weeks.
