Rams Place Young Wide Receiver On Injured Reserve

The Los Angeles Rams have had an up and down start to the 2022 campaign, with many citing the 'Super Bowl Hangover' as one of the reasons, but they were back to themselves in Week 2, and appear ready to defend their title in 2022. Unfortunately, for the early part of the season, that defence now won't include Van Jefferson, as the team today had to place him on Injured Reserve, meaning that he will miss a minimum of a month of action.

While all the attention last year went, deservedly so to Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham, Jefferson was a key contributor for this team throughout the season, putting up 800 yards and 6 Touchdown's throughout the season, and he's a name that will sorely be missed.

The Rams are stacked however, and have plenty of players waiting to break out in his place, but in a tough division and a tough conference, having the depth that Jefferson provides is a huge advantage, and one they'll be without for the coming weeks. Jefferson hadn't practiced since August when he had minor knee surgery, and the Rams expected him to be back early in the regular season, and while he's now going to miss a month of action, he's expected to be fully healthy in the next few weeks, and when he returns, he will go back to his pivotal role as WR3 on this fantastic offence.
