Browns Activate Linebacker From Injured Reserve

The Cleveland Browns have had an up and down start to the 2022 NFL season, and with a crucial divisional matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on tap in Week 7, they need to win this one if they want to keep pace in the AFC North. Myles Garrett is seemingly healthy and good to go, and today, this solid defensive unit got another massive boost, as the team announced they have officially activated recently acquired linebacker Deion Jones, who will be cleared to play in the Week 7 divisional showdown.

The former Atlanta Falcon was acquired several weeks ago while still on Injured Reserve, but now the former Pro Bowl linebacker is ready to contribute for this promising Browns defence, which has the potential to be one of the best in the entire NFL.

Jones is an NFL veteran of six seasons with the Falcons, and although he's not been able to take his game to the All-Pro level just yet, he's been a very consistent performer for Atlanta, and surrounded by talent on every level in Cleveland, now is the chance. The 27-year old has plenty of potential with this talented squad, and if they can get healthy and stay that way, there's no reason why this team can't take a step forward and challenge for a playoff spot in 2022.
