Cardinals Work Out Veteran Running Backs

The Arizona Cardinals are one of the toughest teams to figure out in the entire NFL, as one week they can look like world beaters behind Kyler Murray, while other times they struggle to compete in the biggest games, and on the weekend, they fell in a very competitive matchup to the still undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. One reason for their struggles is certainly the injury/suspension list they've racked up, and on the weekend, the injuries to the running back position certainly came to the forefront, as the team finished the game with just one healthy back in the form of starter James Conner.

The team today took action to rectify this unfortunate situation, as they worked out a group of veteran running backs, highlighted by former Eagles standout Corey Clement, who went un-drafted in 2017, but has formed a nice career for himself. With over 1,200 all purpose yards and 10 Touchdown's to his name, he would provide solid depth around Conner, something this Cardinals team desperately needs.

It's unclear who the other running backs were in the workout, but if the Cardinals want to climb out of the 2-3 hole they find themselves in, they'll need to get healthy and start performing in big games, something that a veteran running back to add depth would certainly help with.
