Colts Rule Out Two Star Defenders In Week 6

The Indianapolis Colts have had one of the strangest starts to an NFL season in recent memory, with a 2-2-1 record that's seen them look fantastic at times, while dreadful at others, and if they can't start stringing good performances together, a very winnable AFC South division title could slip right through their fingers. Part of the reason for that is never truly addressing the Quarterback position, as the carousel has become somewhat of a joke in recent times, but beyond that, the injuries suffered on the defensive side of the ball year round have definitely hindered this team.

That won't stop in Week 6, as today, the team officially announced that defensive end Kwity Paye and All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard will both miss the crucial divisional matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. This matchup could be a turning point in the season for the Colts after they outlasted Denver in a dreadful game last Thursday night, but with a good performance here, the team could bounce back and set their season on the right track.

They'll need to do that without two of their best defenders, but this is one of the deepest defensive units in the NFL, and if they can slow down the struggling Trevor Lawrence, this is their game to win, even without Paye and Leonard, who has missed the majority of the season thus far.
