Cowboys Running Back To Miss Practice

The Dallas Cowboys are off to a solid start at 5-2 through seven weeks of the 2022 NFL season, and now, with Dak Prescott back at Quarterback, this team believes they can take the next step and begin competing with the elite teams in the NFC. A big part of this teams success hinges on their run game however, and today, after taking a big hit in Sundays win over the Detroit Lions, star running back Ezekiel Elliot is set to miss practice.

Zeke was able to finish the game after taking the hit, but after being such a work horse for this Cowboys squad over the past few years, it makes sense if they want to give him a day or two of rest to recover, as he is key for Dallas' playoff push in 2022. Thus far through seven games, Elliot has 109 carries for 443 yards and 4 Touchdown's, and if they can keep him healthy for a playoff run later in the year, with this elite defence, it may finally be the year they break through.

Right now, it's likely nothing to worry about for Cowboys fans, as the team just want to help maintain Zeke's body after all the abuse over the past few seasons, and come Sunday, there's little doubt that No. 21 will be lined up behind Prescott as the Cowboys battle the Chicago Bears, looking to get to 6-2 on the season.
