Falcons Star Cornerback Out For The Remainder Of Week 7

The Atlanta Falcons have had a surprisingly good start to the 2022 season, with a 3-3 record and a share of first place in the NFC South through six weeks, but unfortunately, they've been dealing with injuries week after week, and today came perhaps the most devastating one of all. Early in their Week 7 clash with the Cincinnati Bengals, in which they trail 21-0, the Falcons have had to rule out star cornerback AJ Terrell with a hamstring injury, which means the bad start for this defence could get even worse over the next couple of hours.

Terrell has solidified himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL over the past few years, and needing to keep up with all those superstar receivers, a hamstring injury is the last thing any cornerback wants. It's not yet been made clear if this is a bad one or just one they didn't want to irritate any further in this game, but either way, it's clear that the Falcons Week 7 clash is all but over, even before the game reaches half time.

If the Falcons can get healthy, they have a sneaky chance at being a Wild Card team in the NFC, but for right now, with all the injuries, and now their best player going down, this isn't a good sign for those chances.
