Former Cardinals Receiver Signing With Baltimore

The Arizona Cardinals made the surprising decision on Tuesday to waive young wide receiver Andy Isabella, and just a day later, an AFC powerhouse has swooped in and signed the young receiver, as the Baltimore Ravens have today added him to their practice squad. This isn't a move that's going to immediately cure their lack of elite talent on the outside, but with a dual threat QB on a level we've never seen before and a suddenly healthy running back room, it's a solid move to add to this offence.

The 25-year old was drafted in the second-round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and despite all the promise he showed in Arizona, he was never able to put it all together, and it appears the Cardinals grew frustrated at his lack of performance on the field. In those three seasons, Isabella has managed to accumulate just 33 catches for 447 yards and 3 Touchdowns, and with the injuries and suspensions to the group this season, many expected him to finally step up and play a role, but that just didn't happen.

Now, Isabella joins a wide receiver group led by Rashod Bateman and Devon Duvernay, and if he can get a meaningful chance in Baltimore, there's a possibility that he can finally break out with Lamar Jackson, but only time will tell.
