Miami Dolphins Work Out Super Bowl Winning Cornerback

The Miami Dolphins bounced back in Week 7 to take their team back above .500 with a 4-3 record, but if they want to compete against the heavyweights of the NFL, getting healthy should certainly be a huge priority for this team, as they've been without some key players all year long. While the offence, led by Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have been relatively healthy this year (with the obvious exception of a few weeks), the defence can't say the same, as two of their most important cornerbacks are yet to play a snap for the team in 2022.

That's why today, the Dolphins worked out a group of players, but the biggest name above them was Super Bowl winning cornerback Malcolm Butler, who famously intercepted Russell Wilson at the goal line to save the game for the New England Patriots. He since went on to sign a huge contract with the Tennessee Titans, and while he was never the star many expected him to become, he was a solid starter for that team for years.

In 2021, Butler decided to retire, before returning back to the Patriots, but wasn't able to play a game for them, as he was placed on Injured Reserve and then was released by the team. Sure, he's no longer going to be the big name player he once was, but as a depth piece, this could be a very solid pickup for Miami if they do indeed get his signature.
