New York Jets To Debut Alternate Helmets In Week 8

The New York Jets have been one of the NFL's biggest surprises thus far in 2022, but with back to back dominant defensive performances, they have solidified themselves as one of the AFC's top teams ahead of a home game against the rival New England Patriots in Week 8. With so much momentum built up over the past four weeks, plus their biggest rival coming to town, New York have decided to make this moment even bigger, as Owner Woody Johnson today announced that the team would be debuting their alternate black helmet for the first time.

It's not confirmed yet whether the team will go with an all black look like Johnson has shown on his Tweet, but either way, this is a fun thing for Jets fans as the gear up and look to continue their best start to a season since 2015.

Week 7 came with tragedy, as the team announced that both Breece Hall and Alijah Vera-Tucker were lost for the season, but with such a good defensive unit and so many promising young players, to go along with the addition of James Robinson, this team has a chance to do something special in 2022, and a fun new addition to the uniform is a great way to keep the momentum.
