NFL Names Week 4 NFC Players of the Week

The NFL announced the NFC Players of the Week for Week 4, and they include an unexpected new quarterback and a Philadelphia Eagles defender for the third consecutive week. Quarterback Geno Smith takes home the offensive award for his massive showing in the Seattle Seahawks' 48-45 win over the Detroit Lions. Smith netted 320 yards on 30 passing attempts while notching three total touchdowns. The quarterback has been a pleasant surprise for the Seahawks, averaging an impressive 108.0 passer rating through four weeks and leading the team a 2-2 record.
On defense, Haason Reddick wins for notching two sacks and two forced fumbles in the Philadelphia Eagles' 29-21 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Reddick is the third straight Eagle to take home the award, following cornerback Darius Slay in Week 2 and defensive end Brandon Graham in Week 3. The undefeated Eagles also feature the NFC's Offensive Player of the Month, quarterback Jalen Hurts. Needless to say, the Eagles are flying high.

As for special teams, Minnesota Vikings kicker Greg Joseph earns recognition for going 5/5 on field goal attempts in his team's narrow 28-25 win over the New Orleans Saints in London, England. Joseph has hit on 80% of his field goal attempts so far this season.
