NFL Rumours: Jets Interested In Trading For One Of Two Pro Bowl Tackles

Despite their fantastic 5-2 record, the New York Jets have gone through a ridiculous amount of injuries thus far in 2022, and while most of the attention will go to standout rookie running back Breece Hall, they've also lost no less than five offensive tackles for a significant amount of time in Duane Brown, Mekhi Becton, Alijah Vera-Tucker, George Fant and Max Mitchell. While they've lost Hall and Vera-Tucker for the year, this front office is intent on competing in 2022, and after a trade for James Robinson to fill the running back void, it appears Joe Douglas still has plenty more moves planned.

Last night, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Douglas has his eye on making a move for either Texans tackle Laremy Tunsil or Cleveland's Jack Conklin, and with expiring contracts for teams that don't seem to be going anywhere, it could be a move that makes sense for both sides.

The Jets offensive line has been better in recent weeks, but Zach Wilson has still been running for his life at points, so if they were able to pick up either player, it would be a huge boost for their playoff hopes. New York still boast a very young, talented squad, so they don't want to give away too many draft picks in the chase for a good playoff spot, but if they can make some savvy moves to improve this team in 2022, then they'll be doing just that.
