NFL Week 4: Top 3 Pass Catchers

With Week 4 in the books, it's time to sort through the data and see who really stood out. Here are the three pass catchers who dominated for their teams with incredible receiving performances.
Tight End T.J. Hockenson, Detroit Lions

It's not often that a tight end on a losing team leads the week in receiving yards, but that's exactly what Detroit Lion T.J. Hockenson did against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Hockenson hauled in eight receptions on 12 targets for a massive 179 yards and two touchdowns, including a spectacular 81-yard catch-and-run. It was a career day for the fourth-year tight end, who notched personal bests in yards and touchdowns.

Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins

Despite a frightening injury to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill continued his blazing start to the 2022 regular season, pulling down 10 of his 14 targets for 160 yards in a tough 27-15 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Hill has been spectacular through four weeks since debuting with the Dolphins, leading the league with his 477 receiving yards and managing an efficient 11.1 yards per target. He's been worth every dollar and draft pick the Dolphins spent to acquire him.

Wide Receiver DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks

It should come as no surprise that the week's highest-scoring game featured two of its best receiving performances. DK Metcalf was spectacular in the Seattle Seahawks' 48-45 victory over the Detroit Lions, tallying seven receptions on 10 targets for 149 yards. Somewhat shockingly in the wake of trading their long-time quarterback Russell Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks have remained a competent passing attack: new starter Geno Smith sports a 108.0 passer rating on his 132 attempts. Metcalf has been a huge part of that.
