Panthers Stun Bucs With Shocking Win

The Carolina Panthers just shocked the NFL world as they won a stunning victory to upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 21-3.

Carolina, who was 1-5 coming into their Week 7 matchup, was led by third-string quarterback P.J. Walker, who lost his last two games as signal-caller before Sunday's victory.

The Panthers rode a dominant performance by their defense and it was their first game without their star rusher Christian McCaffrey, who they traded to the San Francisco 49ers just days ago.

Tampa has now lost four of their last five games and back-to-back weeks of stunning losses to teams with only one win for their season. They previously suffered a 20-18 defeat against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday, who were 1-4 before entering that game, and now the Panthers (1-5).

Brady has not been under .500 this far into an NFL season as a starter since the 2002 New England Patriots lost four straight falling 3-4. The seven-time Super Bowl champion has never been .500 with eight or more games into an NFL season, via NFL Reporter Albert Breer

The Buccaneers also sustained their first loss to another NFC South team besides the New Orleans Saints in the Brady-Tampa era.

Walker, who had his best game behind center this season, threw 16-of-22 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Brady failed to score all game after completing just 32-of-49 passes for 290 yards.

The Bucs will need to fix their problems quickly as they are set to play on a short week in a upcoming Thursday Night Football matchup against the Baltimore Ravens (4-3), who are coming off a nail-biting victory today against the Cleveland Browns, 23-20.
