Ravens Wide Receiver To Miss Multiple Weeks

The Baltimore Ravens team has dealt with some great news today, as they acquired linebacker Roquan Smith from the Chicago Bears, but also some bad, as the team announced that due to injury, wide receiver Rashod Bateman would miss several weeks of action, dealing with the foot injury that has troubled him seemingly all season long.

Through 8 weeks of action, Bateman has served as one of Lamar Jackson's top threats on the outside along with Devon Duvernay, and during that time, he's put up 15 catches for 285 yards and 2 Touchdown's, a solid season thus far. Now, they'll have to deal with losing him, as well as potentially Mark Andrews and Gus Edwards, who will likely be considered questionable all week leading up to their Monday Night Football matchup in Week 9.

Thankfully, Baltimore signed some help in the form of veteran star DeSean Jackson, who has yet to see the field as a member of the Ravens, but if he and Smith can make their Ravens debuts this week, it will be a thrilling one for their fans. Hopefully Bateman can get healthy soon, as it doesn't appear to be a serious injury, one that just requires rest and recovery, so expect to see him back, likely no longer than 2-3 weeks away.
