Three Stars Return at Cardinals Practice

On Wednesday afternoon, the Arizona Cardinals appeared on the precipice of a full-blown injury catastrophe ahead of their Week 5 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Things settled down a little bit Thurday. Wide receiver Marquise Brown, tight end Zach Ertz, and tackle Kelvin Beachum all returned to practice. Brown, Ertz, and Beachum were three of five starters on offense who missed Wednesday's session. The Cardinals appeared to be seriously ailing following their 26-16 Week 4 win over the Carolina Panthers, but the returns of their three stars should mean they'll at least stand a chance when they host the undefeated Eagles on Sunday.

Defensive lineman J.J. Watt's absence following a limited session on Wednesday doesn't bode well for the three-time AP Defensive Player of the Year. Watt has already missed a game this year and has been unavailable for 19 contests since 2019.
Brown joined the Cardinals this past offseason via trade with the Baltimore Ravens, reuniting with fellow Oklahoma Sooner Kyler Murray. He and Ertz lead the team in receptions through four weeks. Beachum is the team's starting right tackle and has started 34 of a possible 36 games since signing with the team in 2020.
