Two Steelers Stars To Miss Week 6

The Pittsburgh Steelers have surprisingly been one of the worst teams in the NFL through five weeks, and after four weeks of Mitch Trubisky, the team turned to rookie Kenny Pickett, who struggled against the might of the 4-1 Buffalo Bills in his debut start. With a struggling offence and a defence that's already missing the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, the last thing both units need is another injury, but today, the team officially announced that tight end Pat Frieiermuth and Minkah Fitzpatrick are both out of the very tough Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fitzpatrick has been dealing with a knee injury, and it appears that it's finally caught up to him, while Freiermuth has had concussion issues, and with everything going on around the league regarding concussions in recent weeks, it's best for the Steelers to play it safe.

Now, without Fitzpatrick and TJ Watt, the Steelers defence has to slow down Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, which is a very difficult task with even both of those men healthy. Freiermuth is a major loss, as a tight end with such size, hands and athleticism can be such a weapon for a young QB, but if Pittsburgh is to get their playoffs hopes up again, they'll need to upset the Buccaneers to kickstart a major run without two of their biggest names.
