Young Patriots Receiver To Return To Team's Practice Squad

The New England Patriots have been criticized for a severe lack of weapons heading into the 2022 season, and while we've seen that on full display in several of their losses, the team has also managed to put up some great offensive numbers, it's now just about how the Patriots can manage to find some consistency on the offensive side of the ball.

They've got some young names with potential, but without a consistent starting Quarterback, it's hard for them to find chemistry and make their way onto this team, and in a surprising move, New England yesterday waived young receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey, who would go un-claimed, meaning he is now expected to rejoin the Patriots on their practice squad.

Humphrey has just 18 catches for 315 yards and 3 Touchdowns in his short career, but with plenty of potential, it's just a matter of time until he catches on somewhere, and if he can continue to build chemistry with a healthy Mac Jones, there's a good chance that he becomes a solid performer with New England. Right now however, he'll need to work his way back from the practice squad, but for a receiver of his potential, that's not going to be hard, and with New England's lack of weapons on the outside, he should get a good chance by the end of 2022.
