Bears Cut Tight End

The Chicago Bears have waived tight end Jake Tonges.

The Bears waived TE Jake Tonges. Roster is at 52, and both WR Byron Pringle and LB Matt Adams are within their 21-day window to be activated off injured reserve.

Tonges has appeared in three games this season, recording zero catches on one target, before being a healthy scratch for the team's last two games.

The twenty-three-year-old will now hit the waiver wire and, if unclaimed, will become a free agent which seems likely.
