Bengals Cornerback Ruled Out For Week 9

The Cincinnati Bengals got off to quite the slow start in 2022, but in recent times, they've bounced back well, and even without Ja'Marr Chase, this is a team that should be able to take down any other team in the NFL. Unfortunately, that's not the only major injury this team is dealing with, as Chidobe Awuzie has been ruled out for the season, and now, the team will be without another cornerback in Week 9, as Mike Hilton has officially been ruled out for the teams clash with the Carolina Panthers.

The secondary is full of depth for Cincinnati, but if Hilton is out for longer than a week, it could get ugly for the Bengals, but right now, it appears as though the finger injury he has sustained isn't considered long-term. The veteran of six years is in his second with the Bengals, and with 9 interceptions and 9.5 sacks in his career, it's clear that he is a solid starting cornerback, so Cincinnati will need him back ASAP.

It's just a finger injury, so Hilton should be back in the coming weeks, and when the Bengals get he and Ja'Marr Chase back, this should be one of the teams to keep a very close eye on as the second half of the NFL season commences.
