Broncos Place Center On Injured Reserve

The Denver Broncos have faced an incredibly slow start to the 2022 season, which led to them becoming sellers at the trade deadline, something very few people saw coming, where they would eventually trade star linebacker Bradley Chubb. Now, the team is in no man's land, as they aren't bad enough to compete for the No. 1 overall pick, but also aren't likely to make the playoffs in a very tough and crowded AFC, but of the two, the latter is the most likely scenario, so an injury is truly the last thing they needed.

Today, the team has unfortunately had to place starting centre Lloyd Cushenberry on Injured Reserve with a groin injury, which means that the earliest he could return would be for a Week 14 clash with the division rival Kansas City Chiefs.

The defence has been stellar all year long, but it's the offence, led by 'star' Quarterback Russell Wilson that has been letting them down this year, but Cushenberry has been a more than solid centre, and given how inconsistent Russ has been, this is a major loss that the team will really feel the effects of for the coming weeks.
