Buccaneers Star Safety To Return In Week 10

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have arguably been the team hardest hit by injury in the 2022 NFL season thus far, and as they headed to Munich to play the NFL's first ever game in Germany, they had to leave three players behind, signalling that their injury woes are not yet behind them.

Thankfully, today they got some good news on that front, as star safety Antoine Winfield Jr. was cleared to return for the crucial matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, after he cleared concussion protocol which has kept him out of action for the past two weeks. When he was active, Winfield was incredibly productive this season, with 3 sacks, 2 passes defended, 1 forced fumble and an interception, and while getting him back won't fix all of the teams problems, it's certainly a huge help.

The Buccaneers come into this one sitting at 4-5, and after the Falcons loss on Thursday Night Football, they have a chance to take sole possession of first place in the NFC South, and while Winfield is certainly a massive boost, they've still got a tough task ahead of them in the form of the 5-3 Seahawks.
