Commanders Star Defensive End Trending To Play In Week 10

The Washington Commanders have been on a roll in recent weeks, with big wins over Green Bay, Indianapolis and a close loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but ahead of their matchup with the undefeated division rival Philadelphia Eagles, they'll be getting a huge boost.

According to reports, Commanders star defensive end Chase Young is trending towards playing in Week 10, as he has ramped up at practice as of late, and this would give the defensive a massive boost as they look to get back to .500 on the season. Young hasn't played in the NFL since he tore his ACL in Week 10 of the 2021 season, and exactly a year later, just a week after the team designated him to return from Injured Reserve, he's on the verge of a return.

Through 1.5 years in the NFL, Young racked up 9 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, 4 passes defended and even a defensive Touchdown, and although the emergence of players like Micah Parsons has  pushed Young to the side in terms of national awareness, when he returns, he has a chance to once again establish himself as one of the best defenders in the league.
