Cowboys Sign Former First-Round Pick

The Dallas Cowboys look like one of the NFL's deepest and most talented teams in 2022, with a talented defence and an offence that could get better in the coming weeks if they can bring in Odell Beckham, but one position that they need to look to improve is their run defence.

While Takkarist McKinley won't fix that problem alone, the former first round pick has been more than solid in that department over his career, but he has yet to find a team to call home since being leaving the team that drafted him back in 2017, No. 26 overall. Over that time, he has racked up 88 tackles, 20 sacks, 2 passes deflected, 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery, but his health issues have yet to see him capitalize on all the talent he's flashed so far.

The Cowboys have now signed him to the practice squad, and while there's no guarantee he'll get playing time in 2022, it's a great depth signing for Dallas, who are looking to make their first playoff run in decades, so any addition will be a good help going forward.
