Falcons Acquire Chiefs Cornerback

When the last trade had seemingly come through on deadline day, there was yet another move to be made, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons beat the buzzer, as Atlanta acquired cornerback Rashad Fenton in the final moments before the hectic day came to a close.

Fenton was a sixth-round pick for the Chiefs back in 2019, and while he's never garnered the attention he deserves, he's been a solid player for Kansas City over that time, and played a good role in the teams Super Bowl win in that season. Throughout that time, he's racked up 123 tackles, 20 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions, and although it was a move that flew under the radar, it's a solid one for both teams, as Atlanta need depth, while Kansas City have got good play out of their young corners, and have rookie Trent McDuffie back in Week 9.

2022 NFL Trade Deadline day will be one that is remembered for years to come, and while this move certainly won't be one that's at the top of the attention-grabbing list, it's a good move for both teams, and will help them going forward.
