Giants Rookie Tight End May Return This Week

He has not played since Week 7.

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that he's optimistic that tight end Daniel Bellinger will be available for Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders.

Although Daboll did not offer many specifics on the matter, he indicated that the rookie tight end is ''trending in the right direction'' as the team's Week 13 game approaches.

Before suffering the fractured eye socket, Bellinger had been serving as the team's top tight end and should recover that role upon his return.

In seven games this season, the twenty-two-year-old has 16 receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Bellinger was the Giants' fourth-round pick in this year's draft.
